About the Owner: Blake Blizard

My grandfather, Doug Boggs, introduced me to the game before I could walk and still caddies for me to this day. I played my first tournament at four years old and grew up competing in this area, playing four years for Dobyns Bennett before moving on to the University of Virginia’s College at Wise. I competed for four years at UVA Wise, winning the 2015 Mountain East Southern Conference Championship and earning several top five finishes.

After nine years in Washington DC and South Carolina, I moved back to Kingsport in May 2025. My wife, Riece, teaches third grade here, and we are glad to be home. I have always loved classic golf architecture, especially Donald Ross, and Ridgefields has always been meaningful to me.

I opened Kingsport Golf Studio because I wanted a place to practice year round at a price that made consistent improvement realistic. The simulators I used in DC and South Carolina were too expensive to use often, so I created an affordable option for serious golfers in Kingsport.
